    Ok, so I used to work in university admin and have some nuggets of info that may be hepful is anyone is going to UCD in the coming months;

    Transferring courses as someone who is starting UCD in September as a first time student in third level: Say you start in a course and decide you hate it, or you fucked up your CAO and meant to put something else first, whatever the case may be. Someone told you that you can transfer into another program, no questions asked: WRONG. If you wish to change programs, you must meet all the entry requirements and there must be spaces available in the program you wish to transfer into after CAO rounds finish. The second you think you want to transfer, speak to the admissions team. The transferrals policy is available on the UCD website.

    UCD has student advisers attached to programs/ areas of study that are super helpful, acting as a kindof one-stop-shop for everything you could need. THey can help with emotional support, financial questions, academic questions, and they can contact academics for you if you are too shy. They have heard it all before, don't be afraid to ask for help!
