    Consider for a moment how much we rely on power. The majority of buildings, including residences and businesses, require a constant flow of electricity from the power grid. Clearly, this highlights the need for competent electricians.

     

    You can take your abilities as an electrician to pretty about any country in the globe, get paid well, and work in cool places with cool things. What, therefore, distinguishes the brilliant minds from the just competent? To what extent is skill in electricity acquired?

    There are residential electricians that know the basics and can wire a new house and replace a light switch. Then there are industrial electricians which is a whole other game.

    There is also people knowledgeable in IT such as wired networking , routers etc

    There are home automation, nest camera etc.

    There is trained access control CCTV, risk assessment of properties to detect crime.

    Main issue is apprentices are paid 4 euro an hour and no pension, no job security, no sick pay. So often you get what you pay for.
