Estate Car Recommendations

Hi folks,

Looking for recommendations for an estate car as per the following criteria:

• comfortable
• reliable
• not underpowered
• low mileage
• auto
• budget is €20,000 to €25000
• dealer only as I want to trade in my own car that is probably worth very little ('09 Saab 9-3 TTID with 210k KM on the clock)

Usage-wise I probably only do between 10,000 to 15,000km per year with a commute of around 30km round trip, so a diesel is probably not suitable.

Advice/suggestions appreciated.

BTW you will get more for the Saab selling it privately than any trade-in offer a dealer gives you unless there is something wrong with it.

Prius. Not a full estate but not far off it. Auto as standard and petrol hybrid is perfect for your mileage.

Loads of nice ones for your budget. Worth a test drive l at least if you haven’t driven one before.

Plug in Hybrid, 45 km range, plug in on night rate, you would probably go for 2 months, possibly more on a fill of petrol.

Some better deals if you go private.

GTE

The Passat GTE is savage, I've one as the second car. 46km on battery. 3000/4000km or about five months driving or something silly like that on a tank of petrol with my 50 ish km commute. I've stopped tracking it as I'm forgetful haha.

Edit: On long runs it's better than the Passat TDI. I did Belfast/south Kildare runs a lot at it would get 5ltrs per 100km
