Hi.. I going to buy myself a new ukulele.

I never played or even held a uke before so total starter. I've played a very very small amount of classical guitar years ago.

I think I'll get a concert or tenor ukulele which might be easier for bigger fingers.

I want to buy a reasonably good one (buy once..buy good etc)

Any advice on make / price etc please.

    Thanks for any info

Hey there! It's been a while since I dabbled with guitar, but this thread has me thinking... Have you actually picked up a uke yet?
I'm curious, especially about your thought process on the baritone uke. Coming from a guitar background, that DGBE tuning really does seem like a super smart way to ease in, making chord shapes feel much more familiar. I've always wanted to try playing the ukulele more consistently myself. It looks like such a cheerful and portable instrument to just have around for a quick strum or learning new tunes.
What are your initial impressions if you've started playing? Any thoughts on how that guitar background is helping (or not)? I'd really like to try to play uke more seriously as a chill hobby; it feels like it could be a really rewarding way to unwind.
