have a 1070 system in about 10 years and a PIR is suddenly showing active / open all the time...even though the room is empty

Have checked all the wires and get the same error - powered down and back up again etc... Can these wired PIRs just fail , be fixed or is it a case of just of swapping out for a new PIR?

Swap it out for a new one presuming you have checked the cable itself.

Ended up swapping it out for a new HKC PIR, about €40 , pretty simple job.
