    Hi All,

looking for guidance on Hardware/Software to deliver a replacement for Sky Q.

Moving to a new build so have CAT6/ShotGun RG6 everywhere (all runs back to comms cab),

My plan is to put a Zgemma H7s + 1GB SSD running openVIX in the comms cab and run the satellite & aerial directly to that box.

I then intend to use 3x Zgemma i55 plus boxes running openVIX in client mode to deliver satellite & terrestrial programs over CAT6 around house (max 2 active)

    Questions.

Is openVIX the best software for this type of setup? I can't see other firmware that does this.

Is there a better hardware platform I could use? I've looked at VU+ - it does not seems to add much for the price

I the i55 plus a good client box? Willing to spend here for higher quality remote.

I'm very comfortable with Linux and networking but want something that is as robust and as easy to use as Sky Q.

    Rgds,

    m

I’m in exactly the same situation and curious on what you ended up doing?
