Looks like apple tree in garden has apple scab. In the leaves, trunk and apples. Our dog has been very sick. He ingested something very poisonous and vet is unsure if rotten apples from this tree caused it. There is nothing else in garden that I can think of that could have caused the severe liver reaction he had.

Anyone know how to treat Apple Scab? We have a single apple tree in front garden. It is 40 years old.

    Any help appreciated

No particular treatment other than disposing properly of damaged leaves and pruning out blistered wood. It shouldn't be evident on fruit at this time of year. I don't see how it could affect your dog though.

Apple scab has a tougher texture ... a leathery feel...yours look to have some kind of blackspot.
