Tomato Hanging Basket

Bought a Tomato Hanging Basket with plants and fed it. Some lovely little tomatoes came out and there are loads of little green ones coming behind them. Im delighted with it. However, the birds are eating the ripe tomatoes literally leaving skins on the plant. Any ideas? I cant really cover it as its a hanging basket.
