Digital stamps were announced Oct22.

Great idea but,

Digital Stamp = €2.00

Regular (N)ational Stamp = €1.35

If you want to promote the use of digital stamps it's not the best start.

i see one is you get notifications on your phone when its delivered - thats useful i suppose.

Yes, you get the delivery notification and you don't have to go to the PO or shop for a physical stamp.

why not just order a book of N stamps online - then you don't need to go to PO or shop & you also save 65c per stamp

yes - rarely send envelopes myself - trying to think how they justify it - but maybe be good for eg. selling on line...adverts etc.

The guides to what you can use it are confusing - some pages suggesting the weight limit is higher at 500g

But I think for your 2euros - its the same as a Regular stamp and limited to letters 100g. (I think)

There are two rates for digital stamps

€2 for letters up to 100g

€3.80 for large envelopes up to 500g

Bit plus is the delivery notification, (when it works). Well worth the 65c extra for certain circumstances.

Wouldn't bother buying one at 65c dearer than a normal stamp.

Registered post is tracking and signature (officially).

Digital Stamp will just state delivered on X day at X time. No tracking

I've used digital stamps twice now. Both times the item arrived, but I didn't receive the delivery notification either time, even though I have the app and I've provided the correct email address and phone number. It's a fine product but not a premium one, and should really cost the same as an ordinary stamp.

I happened to need a stamp this week. This was very handy. Thanks for heads-up OP.

Also my other half used one if these are the start. Digital stamp was never cancelled and she could use it 3 times before it got cancelled.....so 67c. Great value

If you did not get notifications of the delivery I suggest checking your app to see if they actually cancelled the stamp....it might be that they couldn't read your writing to track the usage....so your stamp may still be available to use again.

The digital stamp is designed for people who rarely post and don't have a stash of stamps sitting in a drawer. If I needed to post something in a hurry and had no stamps, I would happily pay the 65c premium to avoid a trip to the post office.

Since you "rarely post", just get a pack of five stamps delivered for when you need them in the future and stop wasting your money. 😄

One stamp is marked as "used" and the other as "delivered" but there was no notification.
