Pond pump

Bought a pond pump and it has a 1.5 inch hose outlet but the hose I have is 2 inches, does anyone know of any adapters that I could use to make the 2 inch hose fit the pump outlet?

There are loads but it just depends on what you have on each end. Provided you have a 2 inch push fit to 2 inch BSP on the hose then you can put a 1 1/2 inch to 2 inch adapter on the pump. Galvanised fittings will nearly always be the cheapest but you will also find them in plastic and brass.

Assuming you have a 1 1/2 inch male thread on the pump then this is the sort of thing you need.

If you are looking for an adapter that you push the hose onto that fits directly into the pump I don't think you will find one, you'll need an adapter of some sort.

For the hose if you've not got a fitting for it you'll need something like this

For pond stuff I use these types of adapters.

If you cant get them in the local hardware ( I know ted johnsons in naas has them all) try PondHobby, Causeway koi or cleary aquatics .

You might have to use a small bit of pipe to make a straight coupler after the reducer.
