Search bar gateway timeout

Hello, tried using the search bar a few times over the last few days. Get the below error.

Delete cache, cleared browser etc still happening.

GATEWAY TIME-OUT

The web server reported a gateway time-out error.

Good morning all,

I have received an update from Vanilla on this issue this morning. They have identified a fix for the gateway timeout issue. They are testing today and reviewing. When it is proven to be functioning correctly they will re-launch it on the live site. Thank you all for your patience.

Hi there,

I spoke to them this morning on this, as I have every morning to keep it moving. There was some issue on there end with access logs. I'm am hoping it will be up and running in the next day or so. I know how frustrating this is it make navigation almost impossible. I appreciate everyone's patience.

Just a quick update on the gateway timeouts issue.

It looks like we are at an end with this. Vanilla have been through all of the logs and outside a couple of very small spikes in the last 48 hours, the forum appears to be loading faster and 5xx errors are greatly reduced. The search function has also been fixed and the index is finally returning things from today.

This was a drawn out fix but it appears to be business as usual going forward. Thank you all for your patience and for forwarding your info and experiences while we were seeing this issue.
