Asbestos advice

Hi guys- just completed a pre-purchase survey that has flagged asbestos roof slates, asbestos "remnants" in attic space and likely use in ceilings now plastered over. None of this is a surprise given the location of the property. No other major issues have been flagged on the survey. Surveyor has suggested a specialised asbestos survey.

Just wondering if anyone else has had this issue at the pre-purchase point prior to signing contracts? Our solicitor doesnt seem particularly perturbed and suggested to continue without further surveys. From our perspective we dont mind the idea of asbestos being in the property as long as its intact/safe and we dont plan on doing any major refurbishment/extension etc. We'd plan on doing some minor energy upgrade work in attic- insulation, flooring for storage and stira so would also like clarity on the condition of asbestos before getting someone to do this work.

Has anyone had an asbestos survey done at the pre-purchase point and how did it affect your purchase?
