Outside tap cost fitting

Hi Just curious as to how much approx would it cost to have an outside tap fitted? They would have to drill through the outside wall into the kitchen & place a pipe through 2 kitchen presses. Hope this makes sense.

I wouldn't pay €200! Look on adverts.ie, they usually have it listed as a service for less than €100.

100 euro probably if it takes him less than an hour and you supply all the parts and everything is ready to go. In reality it is going to be 200 euro plus

Remember an outside tap needs to run off the mains and not a drop feed from Attic tank.

The OP should do it then. In reality no one will supply and fit an outdoor tap for 90 euro.

I paid about €200 a few years ago as i wanted a tap for watering my front garden and cleaning the car (on very rare occasions!) as I was sick of lugging the hose around the house. Electrics I'll happily tackle but plumbing has major potential for disaster so I happily leave that to someone who knows what they are doing. He needed to do something similar to what you are describing.

I got a local guy on adverts and it's now a sunk cost, love the tap and years on i dont really give a fiddler's what it cost.

Just to supply the fittings and pipework alone could be 40 or 50 Euro.

1 or 2 hours work and an estimate call.

Plus insurance. 75 Euro is your friend.

Anything around 100 from a plumber is a great price to be honest. It's a relatively simple job but if you don't have at least a 300mm SDS drill bit, SDS drill and a pipe cutter it's not worth doing yourself.

Brass tap, t-piece (usually 3/4" x2 by 1/2"), 3-4 metres of pex, rawlplugs, screws would be all the fittings. (I'd put an isolating valve on as well, but not necessary).

I'd "expect" to pay a plumber about 150 to come out and fit if parts supplied (less if it was part of other work) but would usually do those type of jobs myself.
