Once off goods in transit insurance

Is it possible to get goods in transit insurance for a once off delivery? Organising a delivery of a quartzite slab from the UK to Ireland and the hauliers insurance is only half the value so wish to see if I can take out my own insurance.

Yes, it's available, but you'll only get it through a specialist Transport insurance broker. Try Wright Insurance, Mike Murphy Ins., and iCare Brokers.
