Any way to expedite a driving test retest?

Hi folks,

Son failed his today and he's very close to passing in terms of errors, he's looking at 6 to 8 weeks for a re test. Already registered for it. He phoned and they said there's no cancellations list etc and unless a paramedic you can't get it any faster. He does need it for work due to having to commute to work and no direct buses/trains.

Is there a way to get a test any quicker? He's done a ton of lessons and if he has to wait two months it will just be hard to keep the momentum going

Hi Mick,

I recently sat my driving test retake, and although the email tells you there's a 6-8 week wait, I got another email to book the retest in around 3-5 days after I registered. This was in Tallaght by the way. Hopefully your son will have a similar wait time to schedule his retest.
