    Hello,

You know the way some internal doors have that soft, rounded edge on them? I'm wondering what bit you'd get for a palm router that could do a good job of that?

I'm rehanging doors after renovating. Some of the doors have a soft edge on them and others have a hard edge, probably from the width being cut down.

    A roundover bit. In a palm router I'd say it's a 1/4 inch shank.

I was wondering any particular size? I would have expected a roundover bit has a fixed radius? So I'm wondering what radius I'd expect to be looking for.

Make it simple assuming you have a router with a 1/4inch collet then this set gives you plenty of choice. Start on one thats a little to small (after a lot of practice on scrap wood if you've not done this before) then if its not right you can move up a size and redo the chamfer. Its a cheap set so go easy on it and do an edge then stop and let the bearing cool down, also don't forget to make sure the bearing screw is done up tight I've had them come off a couple of time :-(

Wake me up when it's all over.

Palm routers usually only go down a depth of 1/4 inch so bare that in mind, although if it's only for show it should be OK.
