Modem and router replacement for Eir's default box

Anyone have suggestions? I recently installed a TPLINK Deco s4 mesh system and it really extends the WIFI range; however, Eir's modem/router is sluggish component and I'm wondering if anyone has made a swap and what was your internet performance like?
