    Hi

Does anyone know of an insurance company that will insure a house constructed using ICF? It's not a self-build but a house in a new development and the builder has used ICF. Wasn't really aware of the construction materials until the valuation report came back with ICF under the Construction type section.

My insurance broker has had a few refusals to quote already, and is trying some specialist insurers to see if he can get a quote. I've tried insurance arm of our mortgagers and they won't quote.

    Thanks

Not sure what is going on with my posting ! I said that your broker is using an online quoting system which will automatically no quote buildings of non standard construction. You need top get them to contact Insurers directly - any broker worth their salt should be able to do this ! Speak with your auctuioneer / builders as insurance would be required by banks before they release funds so these guys should steer you in the right direction also

Thanks @MikeCairo78 . The broker did manage to get a result this morning after a few refusals to quote. Far as I know he did reach out to a number of insurers directly. Builder/auctioneers weren't able to help much, seemed to come as a surprise to them... RSA treat the construction type as standard anyway if it helps anyone in future.
