Mystery noise Peugeot 5008

In the past week or so, there's been a mystery noise in my 162 P. 5008. It comes and goes so it's hard to know. Have taken it to two garages, typically the noise didn't happen then and noone can find the cause.

It's near the pedals/wheel/steering on the right side of car. It would remind you of a tapping noise and can get quite bad then nothing for a while. Any ideas?

Wheel bearing? Have you visually inspected it, worn bushings on the suspension, cracked spring?

What else is happening when the noise starts?Anything to do with steering?

Possibly the exhaust hitting the body of the car? Had it before, tapping noise that came and went but gradually got worse

I thought it was in steering at the beginning. Noise just starts out of nowhere.

The aircon/ventilation fan can make sporadic noises but they're usually high pitched. Just to rule it out, try turning down/off the fan and see if that makes any difference.

When does it happen? Does it only happen when the car is moving?

Had a tapping / flicking noise that happened now & again about 6wks ago also (181 1.2 5008) there was a snail flying about in the aircon/fan box.

Airton not on..only when car is moving..hasn't happened at all today.
