Not mad at all. I’ll be buying one new 2.0l diesel and will keep it until it blows up, or the government come to pry it from my cold, dead hands.

    Diesel forever.

Alot of the plugin hybrids are mad money in the 7 seater range and also petrols, while you can find some, are very limited in spec.

Honestly, the government and EU have regulated diesels out of existence.

There's more stuff under the bonnet to meet emissions regs than to make the car go.

I think you'd either want to ensure its more cost effective, or be a die hard diesel head.

Id be more inclined to hold off for a year and see what happens. We're out of the chip shortage, so prices and demand should drop.

All depends on your milage and what else you do with it e.g. towing a trailer/caravan etc. If you're doing over 30k/year then Diesel is a necessary evil. Diesels are still needed until a dependable alternative can be produced. I'm hoping the likes of the Toyota hydrogen model will become easily available, it seems to work really well.

    Just a passenger

No choice but to buy diesel, would not touch petrol unless they scrap e10, and batteries are too stressful
