USB constantly powered up while away

Hi,

Not sure if I'm paying this in the right section.... but really just need some opinions on this please. I'm going away at the end of next month. I'll be out of the house for a week. I wish to leave a USB powered sound activated led light strip on.

However, I'm concerned as to me getting home and finding the house burned to the ground.

Is it safe to leave this powered on untouched for the week? Thanks.

The device uses a mac of 5v 2A.

Well, you know the official line on usb chargers - it would be irresponsible for anyone to advise otherwise - see photos at end of this for possible outcomes.

Saying that some chargers are designed to be left in all the time - eg. dyson stick hoover wall charger, alexa/google home assitant, bedroom clock etc.

- Does the manufacturer docs say its safe for continuous use and do you trust the manufacturer?

2A is a lot of power - above max of what many usb chargers would provide.
