Aerators

Thinking of getting an aetator to get air into the soil, there seems to be a couple different types, the usual one is the spikers on the rotor and there is a possibility to add further weight on the frame, are these any good? I get the feeling they will hop up out of the ground but I could be wrong.

The more bells and whistles model seems to be the Alstrong model that has the fins on the roller, this seems like a better design but the price of them is very severe.

Any recommendations on either or other types?

It's said the direction the fins are welded on make a difference. Some are welded cross ways with lift each sod up, which may or may not be good
