    Does your wife have enough romance from your side? It is often in a long established relationship that people get too used to each other and stop doing any exciting, romantic things. And then one partner may think -- is that it? Is that how the life going to be until death doth us part?

    Why is she telling you now? 6 months later?

    I can't see that there's that much of a connection if they've only kissed thrice in all 20 odd years. Are you sure there's been full disclosure here?

    I think you need to take a minute and take it all in before you decide to move on.

    Sorry you are going through this op. Maybe couples counselling could be an option for you. Your wife needs to take some responsibility for the impact of this on you, you both need to figure out how to move forward, and it's worth exploring why it happened at all.

    There's a lot of info in your post which might identify you or them. Just something to consider.
