Is the Rolling Stones popular in Ireland?

I had a discussion recently with a friend who is a big stones fan, who wondered why they never hear their music in pubs or on the radio. I have to admit if I'm in a pub I've never heard a band cover the stones ever.

You're going to the wrong pubs. Of course they are/were popular in Ireland.
