    Good evening

Looking for advice on CGT. I am divorced and my ex husband sold the house which was in his name. We bought for 183k and sold for 290k with a mortgage left of 90k. We did works such as insulation, new windows, kitchen, bathroom suites etc but kept no receipts. How do we calculate CPT. My ex is giving me 1/2 the proceeds so do l have to pay tax on what l get? Any advice welcome

Look into principle private residence. I didn't think gains on the sale of ppr were subject to cgt . There's rules around it though.
