    Hi,

so at the time in April when Bord Gais messed up and took double payments from a number of their customers they tired to do it with us.

They took the initial payment(which went through on our side) and they tried to take it again but there was no money in account for the 2nd one so they tried to take it a 3rd time and it failed again. Now they are saying that we never paid our bill, but we have a record of the DD leaving our account. We have been back and fourth with them since end of April. every time we ring them the person on the other end of the line says they can't help but will get someone to call us back. when that person calls us back they start the conversation "so how can I help you today or what is this call about"(like they have no idea why they are calling us) we had a call from the debt team asking for the money, we explained what happened they saw something on our file about a call coming and said ok. We have sent a number of emails with screenshots attached of DD coming out of our account. I am at a loss as to what to do next as the next bill is due soon.

    any advice much appreciated?

Make a complaint to the energy regulator.
