Vehicle History Check Query

Looking at a 2017 car that was previously imported from the UK. Motorcheck shows:

Registered in the UK on 10th Jan 2017

UK tax due since 1st Feb 2018

Date of import 1st September 2018.

This gap between February and September has me curious. Any likely reason for this? Any cause for concern?

Also has a gap of 1 month in 2021 for motor tax. Again, anything to be concerned about?

Any other advice regarding buying previously imported cars would be appreciated.

Absolutely nothing to be concerned about, the car would have been traded in to a dealer, sat there for a while, sat at auction, sent to Ireland, sat in a dealers here unregistered, etc. All of this takes times and obviously no tax will be paid during this time.

Again, a 1 month gap in tax could be somebody who paid 1 day late. Nothing to be concerned about.
