    Hi .

I have a 2007 Toyota yaris . It past the nct last month and a week later the rear axle cracked on the driver side. I am finding it difficult to get a good second part .

If I cut out the rusted section and welded a plate over the and even braced it with a plate so its stronger then original. All nice clean welds and painted it . Would it pass next years NCT ?

    THANKS

It should do but being a rear axle Id be making 100% sure that its repaired correctly by a competent welder.

Once the welds are neat and it looks structurally sound, but mechanic told me worse case scenario I'll have to get an engineers report ...... more money
