The reddit mobile app is also disparaged.

In it's heyday reddit had an I had an account for 2 years but the moderation is very limiting:

Louis Rossmann gives reddit the bird.

Have / Did you got an account on reddit?

I have fairly low expectations of social media at the moment. So I scroll and sometimes find something amusing particularly on the r/ireland page. But I do think people can grow out of it after a while. Maybe you're ready to move on as well? It's a bit like watching cartoons on the telly. They're great for a period of your life and even to flick back into the odd time, but then it's time to move on and find something more intellectually stimulating.

When Reddit gave in to political and economic pressure I left it. There was some serious fun and dodgy shite in early days but now it's modded worse than this place .

I've heard from someone who claims to be a moderator on Reddit (but not a moderator for the group to which I posted - see below) that there are Bots on there carrying out moderation, but the interesting thing this person told me, is that the Reddit Bots are termed by them: "Moderators"!
I only attempted to put two posts on there on a political topic which were worded politely, and both were "shadow banned" by a Bot. "Shadow banning" means that when the author of the affected post logs on, their post appears to be present, but if the webpage is reloaded by the author while logged-off, their post is absent, with the message instead stating: "Removed by a moderator".
No explanation, or communication, or review.
The person I spoke with wondered but did not know for certain, if the issue may have been due to the presence of some external Links I had included in the two posts, but I was not given any reason by Reddit. My impression was the issue was possibly due to political bias.
I've not attempted to use Reddit since.

It's great when you stay away from the political sh*te.

Same with all social media. Every social media platform turns to crap once you venture into anything political.
