Whatsapp Outage

Whatsapp web won't work for me, and https://downdetector.ie/status/whatsapp/ shows they're getting reports of an outage too. I don't have my phone with me, can anyone tell me if the app itself is down, or is it just the website? TIA

Twitter said it was happening around the world, server issues, but it's just come back and is working again on my laptop, thankfully
