Where to paddle at gallway (single day)

    Hi,

I'm a (fairly) experienced sea kayaker visiting Ireland, Gallway and want to use my free day at June 12th for a ~20km day tour. I'm planning either to rent a sea kayak, If I find such option, or to bring my own Seawave inflatable (which is quite fast and capable 4.8m boat).

Would Lough Korrib be suitable for me? which part of it is the most protected and where should I launch from? (forecast currently indicate ~10 knot eastern winds that day).

Or could you recommend me a better option up to 1 hour drive from Gallway?

    Thanks in advance
