Are Stena Holyhead sailings on time? Need advice on train timings

I'm taking my first trip on the ferry in over 40 years from Dublin to Holyhead as a foot passenger. The ferry sails at 08:15 and is scheduled to arrive Holyhead at 11:50. I have two onward train options to London : 12:49 which is a direct train, or 13:27 which has one stop and is 20 minutes longer. Would I be sure of getting the 12:49 train or should I allow for delays on the sailing and take a later train?

They are generally punctual, weather excepted. You should make a 1h09 connection easily.

The combined ship-rail ticket will allow you to take any train.
