Passed by there about 30 minutes ago, the fire seemed to be out with the fire fighters continuing to douse the area.

There were a bunch of ambulances parked outside, hopefully just as a precaution.

Was there earlier today. Assuming it was some BBQ or something that may have caused a spread. God, when you hear about all the corners being cut with buildings during the whole initial Celtic Tiger, you gotta hope fire safely wasn't cut. Fingers crossed all ok. Items can be replaced.

I always thought those apartments must have been a nightmare for parking. Never thought about brigades trying to get there on a busy Sunday afternoon at the centre

Thats some a***hole who was having a BBQ on the balcony and it got out of control, probably drinking also. Heat rises , should not be difficult for the DFB investigators to establish 100% the source of the fire and the unit.

There was another one like this one today in Blanch in the Verdemont apartments beside West End retail park in 2017.

These cheap BBQ trays should be banned from use especially in apartments.
