How to cancel a standing order via the AIB mobile app?

Don't think you can, I needed to amend a SO and there is no option in the mobile app. Only way was to use the desktop site

First of all the question relates to a cancellation not an amendment and second did you follow the instructions posted on the AIB website and find them defective or what?

The link you posted is for Business accounts.

However, I just checked the AIB app again, and I have options to Amend and Cancel standing orders.

I can't see any options to do with standing orders in the AIB app. By which I mean the app on my Android phone. Do you mean you can see the options on the AIB website? Because that's the only place where I can see them.

The OP specifically asked for directions on how to cancel a standing order in the 'AIB mobile app'. I think the short answer is 'you can't'.

Hey, I'm using the iOS app. I thought that the Stand Orders were read only, but I checked today and I have the Amend and Cancel options. Not sure if this is new, but it's under the Pay & Transfer tab for me, there is a Manage section with options for Payees, Direct Debits and Standing Orders.

Cheers, found it. In the Android app, you tap the three bars in the upper-left corner, tap 'Pay and Transfer' and the last option is 'Standing Orders'.
