Dishwasher Heating Element not Broken

i have an ikea Renodlad (Electrolux) dishwasher which is 5 years old. Recently it stopped heating the water. I opened it up and measured the resistance of the heating element which was 30ohms so it’s actually working. I had planned to get one of these if it wasn’t:

What else might the problem be? What can I test? There are two overflow pipes in the picture and one of them had water in it. The dishwasher did overflow recently but this might simply because I got an error message and continued the cycle. I think it was an i11 message.

Reflow the solder on the front panel circuit board

First thing I do with any breakdown is to check ebay and Amazon for spares. Why? Because once you see what spares are available you get a good idea of what commonly goes wrong. If for example you see loads of sellers selling thermostats you can be fairly sure that thermostats go wrong. Not saying it is that btw. Bigger spares companies keep everything but Amazon for example tend to only have the parts that commonly go wrong.

Wake me up when it's all over.

Thats a good idea. Is hard water an issue in England too as that can definitely be a factor causing issues for many of us in Ireland.

I used to live in an area with Very Hard Water (over 200 ppm Ca iirc 220ppm) in the UK so yes in some areas its a massive issue. I've seen hot water cylinders so chock full of calcium carbonate there was hardly any room for the water.

Capacitors and relays usually. Caps can be a pig to test. Best test for 230v on the brown/blue feed to the element (or stick a 230v bulb on it either) while the dishwasher is running a program.
