The current cluster of Eutelsat Hotbird 13B/13C/13E satellites at 13 degrees East is shortly to be replaced with two new satellites, Hotbird 13F and 13G.

13F and 13G were launched in late 2022 and have undergone a period of testing at other orbital locations. They are now ready for service. The transfer of current TV/radio/data channels will be done over approximately two months in two phases, the first starting in the last week of May and the first week of June 2023.

There is not expected to be any major loss of downlink time or frequency changes during the transfers.
