Local Sunday Market

I'm not sure if this is the right forum, but does anyone know how you would go about setting up a local Sunday market in say small towns or city suburbs?

I don't know where you would even start to try and assemble a group of businesses to trade for a once-off market day. Obviously some licences would be needed from the council, but does there need to be a single entity that is in control of this? Or is it even the case that the council would organise this? Thanks.

The council is the best place to start as it won’t happen without their consent. But trying to push this through without help from the inside may prove difficult. So I would speak to your local councillors and get them on board. They’ll also be able to point you in the right direction on who to contact in the council.
