    Hi

    Just wondering

Have a 2005 vw carvelle, 2.5, automatic. It's garaged most of the year, I only drive it for few months yearly, when taxed

Automatic gearbox is really acting up, sticking going into 4th, making a rough gear change, and just revving. Had to pull in a few times and turn off to get it back to first.

Asked vw about servicing it, they weren't sure, but then said it can be serviced. Wondering if it's worth servicing, if new oil would help it run smoother. It has 130,000 miles and gearbox has never been serviced.

    Go to a gearbox specialist.
