Dublin Airport Pickup this weekend

    Hi all,

    I'm due to collect a family member from Dublin Airport this weekend, had a notion to bring up the kids too for a proper welcome home, but am seeing reports that both short term and long term parking is very limited for this weekend. Is it likely to be that bad that it won't be possible to get into the Short term car park for an hour late on Saturday afternoon?

    IMHO, haven't had too many issues with short term parking in Dublin.

    Price is an issue that puts people off.

    But with Ireland being the richest country in the work sic, who knows nowadays!

    Thanks for that! Would it be a case of needing to book or could I just drive up and get a ticket there... will be there and gone in <30 minutes.

    How did you get on? In a similar position, to prebook is €40 so would rather pay on the day

    Parked in T2 short term car park for 90 mins for €7.50. Got a spot on L1 even though it was pretty full, but flights had been delayed to Sunday so maybe a bit quieter vs earlier in the weekend.

    Is it easy to do a drive by pick up at T1? Where is the best location? departures? or near bus park? Secondly, are there issues with availability of short term parking, at the moment?

    Short term car parking doesn't release 100% for pre booking so that there is availability for pick up.

    There are staff periodically watching for cars that are picking up where they shouldn't be and marshalling them towards short term parking.

    If trying drive by, make sure whoever you're collecting is at the pick up location before heading there, you won't be allowed to linger. McDonald's/Circle K car park is a good place to wait.
