I could even utilise the full width and push the shed against the side of the house, which is around 2.8 meters.
Do all shed providers only stock standard sizes? I've only just started to look around so haven't even talked to any providers just yet.

Steel tech do a 4m x 2m standard shed. I'd imagine if you talk to them they could add another meter or two to the length of it.
