Preventing elderly parent downloading apps on Samsung A10

    Hi there,

My elderly parent keeps installing all sorts of random apps on his phone (Samsung A10) which I end up cleaning out every few weeks as his phone gets bombed with spam, notifications and storage issues.

Does anyone know how to prevent unintentional app installations? It's a miracle that he is using a mobile and the internet and its all a bit overwhelming for him so I'd like to set up his phone to simply block any app downloads. Is there an elderly person app for that?!

Ive tried looking in settings and can only see child protection, which requires you to link a Google child account to activate to block app downlaods My dad isn't a child so don't want to go that route

    Thank you!

Set pin to something like 8722

Eg easy to remember no eg 87 year you were born ,

Eg you might need to change It or disable it in the future

Try Google family, it is an app to manage what younger family members can do with their phone, but it seems to be perfect for what you are looking to do.
