    Hi,

I installed a satelite quad lnb setup in 3 rooms a few years back for my Dad which was working fine. He recently complained it stopped working so I went to check if the dish was out of alignment. As soon as I connected the sat finder to the dish the channels started working again in every room but once removed the signal goes again. I have since replaced the lnb with a new one but still have the same issue. A h/v light is lit on the finder when plugged in. They are all ferguson ariva boxes.

Anybody have any idea whats happening and how to fix. Thanks

Thank you, I actually came accross that thread already while searching. The 22kz light is not on while Im aligning the dish so Im not sure its that.

Im using this finder below and the only light that does be on is the red one for h/z

Also polarity is set to auto on the ferguson boxes too.

    Odd one alright.

I would start troubleshooting with only one receiver connected at a time, test the receiver on each output. Then moving onto the next receiver and so on.

I'm wondering if one receiver or cable is causing an issue when all are connected.

Yes its very strange, I will try a new coax direct to one box next time im over.

There was some sort of buildup on one of the f connectors connected to the lnb, possibly from water im not sure, I cut the cable back a few cm and put on a new connector for that one.

The fact that the boxes can display a picture with the original cables I thought they wouldnt be the issue but I dont know too much about them tbh. I was hoping it wouldnt be the cables as they a pain to run again.
