Crab apple tree disease/pest

I have a crab apple tree in my garden which seems to have got some pest/disease. Leaves across the whole tree are wilting and covered in grey/brown spots. Could anyone guess what this is? Anything I can do to limit the damage?

I think it’s apple scab. No real treatment. Usual advice is to remove tree. Spraying for fungus may give a few more seasons but spray is harmful to insects.
