The flags of Romania, Moldova and Chad are basically the same.

As it was Africa Day at the weekend, might it have been a Chadian gathering?

    Moldovans - there's a you tube video

Moldovans from Ireland support the European path of the Republic of Moldova. They gathered in Dublin, in a park, with the country's flag in hand, to show their solidarity with those at home. Along with the diaspora from Dublin, there were also Irish officials, including the MEP Francesca Fitzgerald, who wanted to mention that she supports the path chosen by our country.

Any links, the speeches sounded very aggressive, nothing in English, nothing to say what was being held.

Makes sense, there is a strong pro-European push going on in Moldova at the moment, agitating for EU membership and partnership support to stabilise the troubled Transnistria region, which has had a Russian military garrison pretty much since the demise of the Soviet Union.

The best of luck to them.

Don't know how they got permission to hold a political event, OPW must be going soft.

I wouldn't think it occured to them to ask, would you?

Besides, a few Moldovans getting together in a public space miles from anywhere important is hardly a political matter to Irish people.

And God knows there have been far worse loo-lahs of the right wing variety holding unannounced gatherings in the Phoenix Park over the past couple of years and nobody saw fit to move them on, so it would have been a bit rich for OPW to come down hard on a few Moldovans.

Hundred people maybe? On Frances Fitzgeralds twitter she has the Moldovan Amabassador, and the President of Moldova in a photo with herself and two senators. There's a small enough stage on the back of a truck, and some barriers. Would be hard to hid it from OPW/Rangers.
