    Hi all,

Not looking for medical advice as I'm seeing a consultant (public) with regard to BHP and have been told that I'll probably need a TURP procedure but what's putting me off is that there's a 10% chance I'll be impotent which may be permanent and I don't think I could take that risk. I now there's Viagra. I'm still relatively young and am afraid it will affect my dating prospects. Also there's a good chance I may have to have procedure done again in 5 years.

Has anyone her had the procedure or have they opted for other procedures like Aquablation, Rezum, Enucleation or LASER vaporisation.

My symptoms are UTIs and have been using a catheter since Dec due t retention.

I hope they'll do a scan anyway as they have said the prostate isn't too enlarged by physical exam.

Anybody here have similar procedure and what was outcome.

    Really appreciate peoples experiences.

    Thanks
