Looking for advice of where in europe to move with partner and baby.

The housing market in Ireland looks like we will sadly never afford a property.

Would you not look at shared equity with HTB? You might not still be able to buy in Dublin, but get on the ladder and trade up in a few years. Moving abroad is a huge change, and if it's not permanent, you'll be facing the same problem (probably worse) when returning home in a few years.

Do you speak a European language, and/or have a skillset internationally in demand? Not trolling but you're putting the cart before the horse asking about buying property to live in before considering job opportunities. If it was that easy we'd all be doing it.

So many factors to consider aside from property prices...eg language, income, tax, property taxes, service charges, purchase taxes and charges, education, healthcare, pension...the list goes on. Remember too "The Housing Crisis" not unique to Ireland.

There's a guy on boards Jim2007, based in Switzerland I think, seems fairly clued in on Europe situation. Maybe find/message him?
