We have commission fee taken off payments received from Tenants at 8% by the Letting Agent

The balance is then sent to us.

We have setup a spreadsheet with the formula =a1*0.08 to do the calculation. The figure subject to Commission might vary but if the Agent gets the usual amount from the tenant the commission is correct. If we double the amount for testing purposes, the commission figure doubles. If we put in a 1 euro tenant figure, the commission shows as 10c rather than 8c.

    How can we correct this?

    regards

Thanks for that, we found the problem. We had already included VAT (UK) and forgot.
