5-Series - DPF End of Life

Got 5-series serviced at main BMW dealer and they flagged the DPF was registering as end of life. No warning lights on car.

Originally bought the car from a different main BMW dealer at 190,000km. Two years on, the car has 219,000km on it now. Had full BMW dealer service history and I've maintained this.

The BMW service agent was surprised I bought it from a main BMW dealer at 190,000km without them having changed the DPF prior to sale. He all but said it was madness they hadn't changed it. Advised I contact them because they should sort it. One particular point made was that the EOL on a DPF on my car would have occurred under the km it had when purchased - basically saying it was already EOL when they sold it. As it's EOL it's not included in warranty cover.

Contacted the dealer I bought it from explaining advice I received. They're completing ghosting me. Four contact attempts and not getting an answer/response.

The thing I'm confused about is when going to get a quote for the DPF from other main BMW dealers, they list the DPF under "maintenance" and have a note indicating the interval for this is 125,000 miles to 155,000 miles (~201,100km to ~250,000km). This then isn't under the mileage/km the car had when I purchased it, but is only 10,000km away from the minimum.

Do I have any justification to be pursuing a DPF replacement with the dealer I bought it from with them either fully covering costs or at least contributing to cost?

Isn't a DPF classified as a wear and tear item? I've never heard them replaced on the used car prior to sale. Open to correction.

If the original dealer is ghosting you contact BMW HQ, but I would be really surprised if two years down the line an item like a DPF is going to be replaced under goodwill.

Is this a BMW maintenance schedule item,is it actually gone, did they test emissions to confirm, I would think 99% of BMW over that age and mileage have not had the DPF changed, mine would be in that category and passed it's NCT v recently
