Alopecia

    Hi,

Don't know if it's the right place, but can anyone recommend a specialist - anywhere in the country will be considered - that would treat a child with hair loss? I have alopecia myself, but I've been brushed aside by doctors in Ireland for years as it's 'not life threatening' so I've just given up. But now my daughter has it and I don't want her to go through the same thing, but it seems to be exactly what's happening. To make matters worse, our GP told me to find a specialist myself because they can't, but I can't find anyone who would take her on as a patient or is taking new patients at all (she's 11).

Any help will be greately appreciated.

    Thanks.
