    Hi there

Planning a deep retrofit and new rear extension of our family home. It is a 4 bed mid terrace. House was bought as a doer upper with F ber. Will be replacing all windows (with low u value), insulating attic, wrapping with external insulation as well as a new air to water heat pump system with zonal controls. Essentially we're going back to bare bones and restarting.

Regarding the heat pump, in order to get the grant of 6,500 for a mid terrace, a technical assessment is required to be done by an SEAI approved technical assessor in advance. A grant of €200 is given towards this. Any idea how much the assessment will cost to tell us something that we already know.

Thanks in advance if you can advise.
